Christopher Hinton-Lewis

Christopher is one of Central’s first year ballet tutors, where he teaches ballet, coaching and pas de deux. He also works with the second and third year students, teaching their Saturday ballet classes, as well as some of the third year's ballet, coaching and pas de deux classes.

Christopher trained at English National Ballet School and afterwards he regularly performed with the company. His career accomplishments include being the Principal Dancer at Northern Ballet. In addition, he guested with Estonia National Ballet and spent a year working with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Christopher has been a guest teacher for Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Wayne McGregor Random Dance. Christopher has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Leeds in Sports and Exercise Science and completed a dance science research internship at Griffith University Brisbane, Australia. In 2022, he was awarded an MSc in Strength and Conditioning with distinction.
