Central School of Ballet Announces Video Auditions for 2025/26

6 August 2024

Central School of Ballet prides itself on its inclusive and supportive application process, which enables aspiring dancers to apply for a place on Central’s Foundation and BA degrees in Professional Dance and Performance. Applications can be submitted by UK and international students, through in-person or video auditions. For September 2025 entry, applications will open 1 October 2024, alongside all relevant information and guidance.

This year, Central has adapted its audition deadlines to allow international applicants applying via video more flexibility, and the opportunity to receive their audition outcome earlier in the year. We hope that this may support successful applications by allowing them more time to organise their Student Visa and accommodation.

Please see below the updated application deadlines for video auditions:

1 January 2025 – International applicants only
International video applications received before this date will be considered for an online final interview on Monday 3 February 2025. Results following the final audition will be circulated by Friday 7 February 2025.

28 February 2025 – International and UK applicants
Any video applications received before this date will be considered for an online final interview on Monday 31 March 2025. Results following the final audition will be circulated by Saturday 12 April 2025.

Those who did not receive an offer in the first round will not be eligible to apply again until the next academic year.

In-person auditions shall continue with the same structure as seen previously. In-person preliminary audition dates will be published on 1 October 2024.

There are many ways to find out more about life at Central and the experience of training with us. Open days are a fantastic opportunity to meet current students and staff, have your questions answered and find out more about the day-to-day activities of a Central student. Open days take place in-person at The Countess of Wessex Studios and also online. Both open days give prospective students an opportunity to take part in a Q&A, see snippets of a class, see the building where you’ll be dancing and learn more about the degree course.

We will also be hosting Q&A sessions with staff and students on Instagram, so make sure you look out for opportunities to talk to us and sign-up to the online open days if you are an international student. International students can also find tailored information about the application process and experience of moving to London on our International Students page.

More information will be available about applying to Central from 1 October 2024 when applications open.
