The Big Give Christmas Challenge
Central School of Ballet – The Big Give Christmas Challenge
This year Central is taking part in The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge in order to raise funds for our Satellite School in Southwark. Through our Satellite School project we provide free ballet classes to Primary Schools in Southwark once a week for children aged between 7 and 11.
Support for our Outreach programme is so important as we work with the wider community to give children the opportunity to experience professional dance facilitators and live music. We aim to provide all young people with access to the arts encouraging creativity and a healthy lifestyle. Please help us to continue this work by taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge!
How it works
The Challenge takes place over three days – 4th, 5th and 6th December and works by individuals making a donation via the online giving page which is then match funded by our own Charity Champion – This year we are being match funded by The Childhood Trust. This means that any donation you make has the potential to be doubled!
You need to go to the following link http://new.thebiggive.org.uk/project/CSB at 10am on 4th, 5th and 6th December to make a donation – It’s first come first served for the Match Funding so if you want to ensure your donation is doubled be ready to make your donation at 10am on those three days!
Why We Need Help
At Central School of Ballet, we help dancers identify their unique skills and enable exceptional talent to develop into dream careers. With your help we can ensure that no young person will miss out on this opportunity through a lack of financial means.
Central students receive outstanding training and individual support, and as dancers go on to professional careers, bringing inspiration and enjoyment to audiences around the world.
Support for everyone
Central is also committed to taking dance to those whose background might traditionally exclude them from participating. The School's Outreach Programme inspires a passion for dance at grass roots level to enable children to enjoy the creative benefits of dance.
