Primary School Projects
As part of our commitment to the wider community, Central works in partnership with London primary schools to deliver a yearly series of workshops for schoolchildren.
Bringing dance into schools
Our workshops are led by experienced dance education practitioners, assisted by students from the school, and give all children the opportunity to explore their creativity through dance. Schools are then invited to visit Central School of Ballet to present their work, and to attend our end-of-year matinee performance.
Schools are also provided with a resource pack, so they can use the workshop themes across the curriculum.
Essential support
The project is supported by The Mercers Company, who generously cover all costs for a number of participating schools.
